MP Scholarship Portal Online Application Forms, Schemes @ www.scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in Madhya Pradesh State Government offers wide range of scholarship programs for students belonging to all the categories. The initiative is taken to promote spread of education among the students who can’t afford to pursue higher education. Each year scholarships are awarded to eligible candidates across various departments of expertise. Let’s see various schemes of Madhya Pradesh Government in detail. Scholarship offered to Courses MP government offers scholarships for various courses to students belonging to backward class and minority. The scholarship is offered for following courses. Technical Education (Engineering & Polytechnics) Training (ITI) School Education Higher Education Medicine Students opting for above courses can avail the scholarship benefits if they satisfy eligibility criteria. Scholarship Schemes Various scholarship schemes have been started by MP government for pursuing above courses. Here’s the list of Scholarship schemes offered to students. 1. National Overseas Scholarship Scholarship is awarded to candidates who wish to pursue higher education in foreign Universities. State government bears the cost occurring on tuition fees, accommodation and necessary accessories required for education. 2. Sanskrit Education Development Plan This scheme is started to promote Sanskrit amongst students. Scholarship is awarded to students who study Sanskrit as a subject form IX and XI standard. Under the scheme sum of Rs.250/- p.m.is given in IX std and sum of Rs.300/- p.m. is given in XI std. To avail the scholarship candidate must have scored 60% in above marks in previous year. 3. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Praoyny Vivekananda Scholarships are awarded to students of XI std having passed X in first division and to XII std students having passed XI in first division while studying in government aided school. As per the scheme Rs.500/- is given to family of such students having annual income below Rs.54,000/- and Rs.550/- is given to students. 4. Sudama – Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme This scheme was started to ensure every child is able to get continuous education up to X std. under this scheme, every student whose family income is less than Rs.54,000/- p.a. is eligible to avail benefit of the scholarship. An amount of Rs.400/- p.a. is given to girls and Rs.300/- p.a. is given to boys. Teacher should undertake the activity of filling forms from the students and submit to Principal before 20 October, while the principle should forward it before 27 Oct to Divisional Education Officer. The final list will be declared by 15 Nov. 5. Higher Education Guaranteed Loan Schemes The scheme aims to provide higher education opportunities to students who can not offered a costly course. Under this scheme education loans are made available to students with family income below Rs. 3 lac p.a. Government acts as a sponsor and students don’t need to keep any guarantee with bank on loans. Delhi Chhatrgrah Plan Students pursuing Graduation or equivalent courses in Delhi based University and Colleges can avail benefit of this scholarship. This scholarship is given to facilitate residential needs of students. Criteria for eligibility is that, student must have completed XII from MP and his/her family income from all source is below Rs.25,000/- p.a. Under this scheme students are given up to Rs.1000/- as monthly rent, Rs.500/- for water and electricity and Rs.500/- as expenditure amount p.m. A amount of Rs.2000/- is also awarded at the time of admission. 7. Incentive Scheme to achieve success in Civil Service Examination This scholarship is awarded to students who have excelled in Civil Services exam. The program was started to promote active participation of students towards government administration. Under this program Rs.25,000/- is awarded to students passing Pre exam and Rs.50,000/- is awarded to students passing UPSC Mains exam. For students passing various exam conducted by MPPSC a amount of Rs.15000/- is awarded for passing Pre exam and Rs.25,000/- is awarded after passing Mains. If a student gets selected Rs.10,000/- is awarded. 8. State Level Exam Preparation Training Center MP government runs various training programs for students belonging to backward classes. Training is given to students preparing for MPPSC. Under the course 6 month training is given for Pre exam and 2 & half month training is given for Mains exam. 9. Scholarship for Foreign Studies to Backward Class Students This scholarship is given to students going for higher education in foreign Universities. The scholarship is given for the duration of course/Ph.d and future research programs. Under the program students are given $7700/- per annum for any type of course in USA. For courses in UK an amount of 5000 Pond per annum is awarded. For Research programs mount of $2400/- in USA and 1560 pond in UK is awarded. Other expenditure includes $500 and 325 Pond for theses. 10. Inspire Awards MP government offers Inspire Awards in the field of science. The awards are given from std 6th up to X students for encouraging them in the field of science. A award of Rs.5000/- is given to two students. Out of which one must be from 6,7 or 8th std and other must be from IX or X std. the students must be between 10 to 15 years of age.
